Tatiana Romanov-The Real Grand Duchess

Beautiful. Smart. Thoughtful. Loving. Talented.

Her Imperial Highness Grand Duchess Tatiana Nikolaievna Romanova was all of these things. Born at the Peterhof Palace in 1897, she was the second daughter of Tsar Nicholas and Tsarina Alexandra. Tatiana had three sisters; Olga, Maria, and Anastasia as well as a younger brother, Alexei. She was her mother's favourite daughter and closest companian. Tatiana had many exciting and interesting days during her lifetime, even becoming a Red Cross nurse when World War One broke out. Tatiana Romanova was executed July 16/17, 1918 in the cellar of Ipatiev House in Ekaterinburg with her family, she was 21 years old.

Many people think that, that was the end of Tatiana Romanova's story, but she would have had so much more to say. And that is what my story is about-Tatiana may have died in that lonely cellar in Ipatiev House, somewhere beyond death, she now has to say what is in heart and explain what really happened in her life; not just what people thought of her.

Tatiana Romanova was the "People's Favourite"-but there is more to tell from behind those blue-grey eyes and that famous frown that she wore in so many photographs.
